A new paradigm for
trusted public knowledge.
The D-SAFE Registry exists to establish and maintain the global standard for human-authored, permanently accessible, legally sovereign knowledge.
The Problem We Solve
The internet is drowning in content — but starving for knowledge. Algorithms optimise for engagement, not truth. Platforms come and go. Links rot. Servers are switched off. The authentic human record is being buried under a tide of AI-generated noise.
At the same time, institutions that hold genuine human knowledge — libraries, archives, universities — have no standard way to certify that their digital content is authentic, safe, and permanently accessible.
The D-SAFE standard is the answer. It is the first certification framework that simultaneously guarantees technical permanence (via Arweave), legal sovereignty (via the D-CODE licence), and content integrity (via the K layer review).
Technical Permanence
Content lives on the Arweave permaweb — 250+ years guaranteed through a one-time endowment, not ongoing fees.
Legal Sovereignty
The D-CODE licence prevents any entity from paywalling, enclosing, or deleting certified content — ever.
Content Integrity
The K layer certifies human authorship, content safety, and original work — backed by a cryptographic audit trail.
Professor Data Pond
Professor Data Pond is the architect of the D-CODE licence, the D-SAFE certification standard, and the DataPond.Earth permanent digital library — the first institution to implement the full D.I.C. + K framework.
The Cherokee character Ꭰ was chosen deliberately: it reads as A to machines and as D to those who know its meaning. This duality — open to all, meaningful to the initiated — is the founding principle of the D-SAFE standard.
The D-SAFE Registry operates as an independent certification body. It is not a commercial entity. Certification is based solely on compliance with the published standard.
"Every morning we are born again. What we do today is what matters most."
